Did you know that you have the option of opting-out of the Nude-O-Scope? As said on the TSA Website "TSA has implemented strict measures to protect passenger privacy, which is ensured through the anonymity of the image. Additionally, advanced imaging technology screening is optional to all passengers..." (1)TSA Website)
When the Nude-O-Scopes were first brought to US airports, they were installed as a pilot. TSA said that they had no plans to use them as the primary screening method. However, it seems that this was always their intention. From reports on various news sites, travelers have mentioned that TSA has required them to go through the devices, without any option to opt-out.
